Motivation
Motivation
will be key to having a successful workshop. I plan to keep my learners engaged
by using a combination of auditory, visual, tactile, and participatory
styles in order to reach all of the trainees in the class. By incorporating a
mix of styles, I am certain to reach each learner. I will also be sure to
actively involve my participants and encourage them to be active learners.
Pre-requisites and Sub-skills
The learners will learn how to transition from a traditional
style classroom to a student-centered classroom.
The learners will be taught the following:
1) The importance of a student-centered classroom
2) The benefits of a student-centered classroom
3) Ways to transition (techniques, tools and resources will
be provided)
Practice and Feedback
The learners will have to enter new curriculum into
Eduphoria (district lesson plan manager). The learners will receive feedback
from district curriculum directors. School principals will also monitor
learners during normal observation. Department chairs will also discuss the
topic of transiting with teachers.
